Lima – Ica – Nasca – Paracas – Arequipa – Puno - Cusco

(23 days / 22 nights)

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ARRIVAL IN PERU

Assistance with your arrival in the Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima and transport to the hotel to spend the night.

DAY 2: LIMA - CITY TOUR – PARAGLIDING – PARACAS   (B-WL) 

City Tour in the morning, we shall visit the Plaza San Martín, the main Plaza of Lima, Government Palace the Basilica Cathedral, Archibishop’s Palace, Municipal Palace, Convent and Church of San Francisco and the famous Catacombs. In the afternoon PARAGLIDING or PARA MOTOR for 30 min., an unforgettable experience. Leave the city for Paracas and installation in the hotel, Spend the night.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Age: 7 to 80 years, use trekking boots with high ankle support, don’t need to have prior experience to Paragliding or Paramotor  Tandem because an experienced pilot wil laccompany you. 

DAY 3: BALLESTAS ISLANDS - ICA –  CAMPING IN THE DESERT   (B-BD) 

In the morning we visit the Ballestas Islandswhere we shall see: Sealions, pelícans, penguins, guanera birds and  the Canofabro. Leaving for the city of Ica to visit the vineyards. In the afternoon we pass through the sand dune in buggies and camp in the desert, in the evening we have a BBQ and campfire. 

DAY 4: RETURN FROM CAMP -  DEPARTURE FOR NASCA   (B) 

Return to Ica and departure with destination of Nasca. Transfer to the hotel and spend the night.

DAY 5: NASCA LINES- AQUADUCTS AND PAREDONES – AREQUIPA   (B-LB)

In the morning we fly over the enigmatic Nasca Lines, later visiting the aquaducts of Cantalloc and Paredones, in the afternoon departure for the city of Arequipa.  Arrival in the city and installation in the hotel. Spend the night.

DAY 6: AREQUIPA - CITY TOUR - SANTA CATALINA MONASTARY   (B-BL)

City Tour in the morning in the city of Arequipa, we visit the Mirador of Carmin Alto, Mirador of Yanahuara, it’s Plaza and church, the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Church of the Compañía de Jesús and finally the Monastary of Santa Catalina. Free time. Spend the night.

DAY 7: HORSE RIDING TOUR FULL DAY   (B-LB) 

Pony trekking Tour around the countryside of Arequipa for 6 hours, following the Route of “Loncco”, appreciating impressive pre-inca terraces,natural water fountains that appear from underground and colonial houses. Return to the hotel for the evening. Spend the night.

DAY 8: RAFTING IN THE RIO CHILI   (B) 

Excellent experience in the Rio Chili, collection at hotel to descend 6 km in 1hour and 45min. in the water. Return to the hotel. Spend the night.

DAY 9: TREKKING IN THE CANYON OF COLCA: CABANACONDE –SAN JUAN OF CHUCCHO – COSÑIRHUA   (B-L-D) 

Tour of the Colca Canyon, leaving from the town of Cabanaconde, and starting to descend into the canyon, after 3 hours we cross the Río Colca, and after 1 hour we arrive at San Juan de Chuccho, we have lunch and after an hour of walking we arrive at the town of Cosñirhua. We have dinner then spend the night in a basic lodge.

DAY 10: TREKKING COLCA CANYON: MALATA – POOL – CABANACONDE   (B-L-D) 

In the morning after breakfast, we continue our trek to the town of Malata and Sangalle, here we have some time to enjoy the swimming pool and have lunch. In the afternoon we ascend to the town of Cabanaconde. Spend the night.

DAY 11: TREKKING CANYON OF COLCA: CROSS OF THE CONDOR – CHIVAY – AREQUIPA   (B-BL) 

In the morning after breakfast, we leave by bus to visit the Cross of the Condor where we shall appreciate the condors in their majestic flight. Transfer to Chivay, Thermal Medicinal Baths at La Calera. Return to Arequipa. Spend the night.

DAY 12: AREQUIPA – DEPARTURE TO PUNO   (B) 

In the morning there is free time. In the afternoon we leave for the destination of Puno. Transfer to the hotel. Spend the night.

DAY 13: FLOATING ISLANDS OF UROS – AMANTANI ISLAND   (B-L-D) 

Tour in Lake Titicaca,  the highest navegable lake in the world, we visit the Floating Islands of Uros, the Island of Amantan, it’s famour pre-incan temples and in the evening a musical show with typical dances of the island. Spend the night in tipical homes of the islanders.

DAY 14: ISLAND OF TAQUILE   (B-TL) 

Early in the morning we leave the Island of Taquile, which has a great ethnic and cultural value and tradition of artesan textiles. Return to Puno. Transfer to the hotel. Spend the night.

DAY 15: TURISTIC ROUTE MANCO CAPAC: PUNO – CUSCO   (B-BL)

Tour on the route from Puno to Cusco, appreciating La Raya (Knot of the Andean Range), Raqchi (Temple of the god Wiracocha), Andahuaylillas (The Cistene of America), arrival in Cusco, transfer to the hotel. Spend the night.

DAY 16: CUSCO - CITY TOUR AND NEARBY RUINS   (B)   “YOU CHOOSE”

City Tour in the City of Cusco, visiting the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha, Tambomachay, Puca pucara, Kinko and Sacsayhuaman. Return to the hotel. Spend the night. 

DAY 17: VALLEY SACRED OF THE INCAS   (B-BL)

Tour of the Sacred Valley, centre of inca richness, visitng the Archaeolgical centre of Pisac and it’s artesan market, Urubamba, fort and andcient city of Ollantaytambo, town of Chincheros and church. Return to Cusco. Spend the night. 

DAY 18: INCA TRAIL: CUSCO - KM. 82 – HUAYLLABAMBA   (B-L-D)  

Very early we leave Cusco for km. 82, point of departure for the Inca trail, we walk 5-6 horas, appreciating the beauty of the surroundings as well and visiting the ruins of Llactapata, Huayllabamba, here we have our first campsite. Spend the night.

DAY 19: INCA TRAIL: HUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYU   (B-L-D) 

Early we leave our campsite for the inca route, ascending Warmiwañusca, a walk of 6-7 hours, camping in Pacaymayu and spend the night.

DAY 20: INCA TRAIL: PACAYMAYU – WIÑAYWAYNA   (B-L-D) 

Very early we leave and have impressive views of the peaks, mountains, animals, flora and fauna of the Inca Trail, visiting the archaeological ruins of Runkuracay, Sayacmarca, Puyupatamarca, Wiñaywayna, camping, spend the night.

DAY 21: INCA TRAIL: WIÑAYWAYNA  MACHUPICCHU   (B) 

Descending into the Ancient Cityof Machupicchu, in the descent we visitthe archaeoligical centre of Intipuncu and the impressive city of Machupicchu, in the afternoon you can ascend Waynapicchu (optional), return to Cusco by train. Transfer to the hotel and spend the night.

DAY 22: CUSCO – LIMA   (B-SD)   “YOU CHOOSE” 

Transfer to the airport to the destination of the city of Lima.  Arrival and hotel transfer.  Special dinner, courtesy of Cumbres Andinas. 

DAY 23: DEPARTURE   (B)

Transfer to the Jorge Chávez Inernational airport at the indicated tour to take the outward bound flight.
